Building on the success of the first edition of Visions of Research, which featured insights from our chair holders and fellows, this year we spotlight the vital role of PhD research in advancing AI across science, business, and society.
This year, Visions of Research takes a new direction.
After highlighting the perspectives of our chairs and fellows in the first edition, we are now focusing on the PhD students advancing the future of AI.
Across three main themes: Living with AI, Understanding how AI transforms Business, and Preparing AI for the Future, this collection brings together a wide range of research topics, from machine learning and generative models to the societal and environmental impacts of AI.
You’ll find work exploring how AI affects trust and decision-making, how to optimize large-scale systems like wind farms, and how to rethink the foundations of neural networks. Each project reflects the drive of a new generation of researchers, passionate about pushing boundaries and questioning how technology can better serve society.
