Meet Up! On the AI Act
Tuesday 25 March, 6:00-8:30 PM (Paris Time)
At VINCI (1973 Bd de la Défense, 92000 Nanterre, France).
This Meet Up continues the conversation from our previous editions on “AI and Ethics” and “AI and Regulations,” this time focusing on the AI Act, its impact, challenges, and what comes next.
One year after its introduction, where do we stand? What progress has been made, what obstacles persist, and how is the AI ecosystem adapting? Our speakers will share their perspectives on these key questions, offering insights from academia, industry, and policy.
Bringing together a diverse audience of researchers, business leaders, and professionals, this event is an opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions and better understand how AI is evolving.
This event continues the conversation from our first Meet Up on AI and Ethics, with a specific focus this time on the regulatory aspects surrounding AI. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the latest research on AI, ethics, and regulations, and to engage with a diverse group of academics, business leaders, and industry professionals.

Hi! PARIS Meet Up on the AI Act
One year after its introduction, the AI Act is defining how artificial intelligence is developed, deployed, and regulated across Europe. Designed to ensure AI is safe, trustworthy, and aligned with fundamental rights, the regulation introduces a risk-based framework, compliance obligations, and enforcement mechanisms.
But as organizations navigate this evolving regulatory framework, key questions remain. How have businesses, research institutions, and policymakers adapted? What aspects of the regulation are proving effective, and where are challenges still emerging? How will its implementation impact AI innovation and competitiveness in Europe?
Join us for presentations and a panel discussion of Hi! PARIS researchers and business representatives in the domain!
Program
Welcome to the venue from 5:45 PM.
The event will officially begin at 6:00 PM with an introduction by our corporate donor VINCI and Hi! PARIS Executive Director, Vincent Rapp, followed by presentations from our speakers.
